FAQ
How does voting work?
You post an item you are thinking about buying, add a price and a reason, and your group votes Approve or Reject. You can also keep the decision to yourself.
Do my friends need to install BuyBallot?
Yes. Votes are cast in the app. Invite friends with an invite link or a 6-character code, and they can join from the app.
Can I still buy something if my friends reject it?
Yes. Votes are advice to help you pause and think. The final decision is always yours.
How are the savings stats calculated?
Savings stats summarize the purchases you decided not to make, based on the prices you entered for each item.
How do I delete my account?
Open BuyBallot, go to Settings and choose Delete account. If you cannot open the app, follow the steps on our account deletion page.
